FSD meeting recap 2025-10-24
Every week, free software activists from around the world come together in #fsf on Libera.Chat to help improve the FSD, which is a catalog of useful free software that runs under free GNU-like systems (not limited to the GNU operating system and its GNU/Linux variants) and a project of the Free Software Foundation (FSF). This recaps the work we accomplished at the Friday, October 24th, 2025 meeting, where we saw a couple of new programs added and several entries updated.
Thank you, volunteers!
Each week we like to thank the IRC volunteers who worked on the Directory during the meeting.
A special thanks to:
- nnq, for working on and getting Licar approved.
General overview
- We approved one entry and worked on several others. There was a short discussion about Raptor Computing Systems and its hardware for running virtual reality games powered by the Godot game engine. Raptor has two motherboards certified by the FSF's Respects Your Freedom (RYF) program.
New programs approved with a licensing check:
- Licar (Libre Car), is a minimal/KISS/suckless 90's racing game.
Join us each week to help improve the FSD every Friday in #fsf on Libera.Chat from 12:00 to 15:00 EST (17:00 to 20:00 UTC). Find out more about upcoming FSD IRC Meetings by subscribing to our events RSS feed.
